The timeout value is set in the unirpcservices file, a text file located in
the UniShared directory on the server (location depends on your version of
U2).

Look for the lines beginning uvcs, udcs and defcs. (You may not have all
three). The last column is the timeout value in 1/10th seconds: it used to
be documented as being seconds but that is wrong. On later versions you can
set this to zero to mean no timeout, on earlier ones this will time out
immediately so set it to a stupidly large figure instead. I think it has to
be below maxint, though.
