Unless I am missing something have you tried 'tar'ing the file up,
compressing it ( saves space and transmittion time ). Transfer as you
described, uncompress and extract from the tar?

Hi,

I'm trying to transfer UV hashed file from Unix to Unix via FTP, but do to
interface constraints, I must go through a NT machine first, so the process
is

Source Unix - Intermidiate NT - Destination Unix

The file transfer type is binary, but the problem is that when I transfer
the file from unix to nt, and then nt to unix - on the destination unix
server, it says the file cannot be opened. It's not a permission issue, as
the file has all permissions.

Does anyone have any ideas ? Transfer is binary in both directions

Thanks

Mac
