It's a lot better than writing plain old Flash. But it is still a bit of
mare even with the crappy development studio thingy they've finally added.. 

I looked a while back at a couple of very promising products that produce
Flash directly out of C# or VB.net code, providing their own emulation of
System.Windows.Forms and other packages. They were still beta then, but
looked awesome. 

The more complete one is a product from XAMLON, but that seems to be stuck
in beta for ever.
The other one is called NeoSwiff from GlobFX. This it seriously nice: not as
developed but works and has gone to release. I've just been wanting an
excuse to put some time into playing with it. 

It's not often I rave about a product, but you can download an eval of
NeoSwiff and open your mind. The problem is, even nice XHTML and CSS just
looks sad after that. Damn, time to redesign my website again..
