Does it make any sense to use Hibernate with UniObjects for Java?
I don't think so. Hibernate is built on top of JDBC, and UniObjects for Java is a completely different animal. (UOJ is a proprietary, non-standard API to UniData.) It might be possible to use Hibernate with UniData/UniVerse, if the JDBC driver will behave itself. I've never gotten very far with it-- I can access the demo account with plain JDBC, but as soon as I try anything remotely complicated, things start breaking.
