Ron, By the way b& a quick search of UV docs shows there is a NO.OPTIMIZE command documented in the SQLUSER.PDF of the UniVerse (pp 3-9) documentation. Apparently it disables the WHERE optimisation function. Maybe the developer just got the spelling wrong.
