I guess the only real concern would be the terminal emulation options you have in any given client package. VT100/ADDS/etc... As far as Universe is concerned, it doesn't care if it's a PC pretending to be a terminal or a Mac pretending to be a terminal. Just as long as it pretends "convincingly" to be a terminal.
