The first thing you need to do is to establish how the "dump" was made. Possibilities include UNLOAD.FILE (bulk unloader), uvbackup, FORMAT.CONV export, a listing of some kind to a disk file, a dump to tape (for example using T.DUMP), an XML dump, output from a purpose-written program, and more.
