Not sure what you mean by u2 aware. Do you mean the credentials are stored in u2 and the validation routine has to be able to talk to u2 to validate, or do you mean u2 has to be able to call out to the check credentials given various parameters and get identity and access information? What we need - single signon and immediate access to those systems, > servers, storage that your identity allows. Industrial strength and you also get replication and fail-over out of the box. If you need your central sign-on credentials to be on a windows AD then ldap can pass userid/password pairs off to AD for verification and can also support multiple AD domains etc. Not sure how to best call out from u2 to ldap - callc or uv equivalent possibly?
