Do you mean ttys or ptys?
If you mean ptys, go to:
smit
devices
PTY
Change/Show Characteristics of the PTY
and increase the value for Maximum Number of Pseudo Terminals
If you mean ttys, this is dynamically configured when new hardware is
added that support tty devices (like 128 port asynch controllers or 16
port RANs)
