Can you give a bit more detail as to what you mean "I receive the data in a different way when the select statement change".
A BASIC select, or a simple RETRIEVE select will simply give you a list of keys which you can get hold of with READNEXT or READLIST. InterCall should work just the same. If you've started adding things like WHEN to a RETRIEVE SELECT, then things will certainly change ... What are you trying to do?
