Allen Egerton has provided the answer

I was using CALC in the list and TOTAL logic in the itype and didnt suspect that appending a % sign would work due to non-numeric/etc

anyway

PCT.FLD
I
TOTAL(F1)/TOTAL(F2):'%'
etc

works like a charm in

LIST file CALC PCT.FLD

Thanks Allen

Rich

I've reviewed the doc's and cant seem to find a way to display the % sign next to the value in a list/sort command

Perhaps eval & Fmt may get me there

picky user wants 68% not 68

Uv 9.6.something

thanks, Rich
