I really appreciate everyone's responses thus far to this thread. I'm going out to the product matrix for Unidata right now to verify release notes. This has been one of those things that has gotten on my nerves and frankly I wish our sister org (which is who's running Oracle -- the pig) wouldn't run NFS mounts ON A PRODUCTION SERVER.
