Charles,

I don't consider Tony's reply an [AD].

We have an open question ("Does anyone on this list have any experience...")
and a reply suggesting a possible solution and an offer to demo said
possible solution.

I think the [AD] tag is appropriate for product announcements, job
openings, and other un-solicited posts. You seem to think that any reply
that might produce a benefit to the writer, or that mentions a commercially
available product, should be tagged as [AD].

It seems to me that the recent threads on the subjects of
moderated/unmoderated, u2-community, and the [AD] tag itself provided a
pretty clear consensus that what the group wants is less moderation, not
more (is that oxmoronic?), and that what would be most beneficial to us all
is if there were more products, more commercially available solutions, more
questions, comments, and answers, and, yes, more [AD]s in the U2 and MV
space in general.

I don't see any benefit from publicly nagging those posters whom you feel
have not adequately advertised their possible commercial self-interest. The
reason U2UG exists is because U2 itself is a business tool, and in one form
or another we are all in the business of making money. I think every
poster's commercial self-interest is self-evident and can therefore be
presumed.

My 0.02 worth (and likely 0.02 more than any personal benefit I am likely to
receive as a result of this post),
