I'm sure someone has.  There, that was a stupid answer to go with the stupid
question.

The issues a customer might face with an upgrade that involves a makeudt are
not whether makeudt works - of course it does or they don't ship the release
- but what the upgrade is from and what the routines and libraries are which
need the makeudt.

If this upgrade is from Solaris 9 to Solaris 10 on the same box with UniData
staying the same, or from UniData 6.1 to 7.1 staying on Solaris 10 on the
same box, it's a whole different kettle of fish from say if the customer
used to be on AIX 4.3 under UniData 5.2 and they're upgrading to UniData 7.1
under Solaris.

Fill in some of the gaps in the question and maybe some useful answers will
emerge.
