Hi Gabe With Remote Desktop Connection, as the terminal emulator is running on the server, if the connection drops, the terminal emulator is still connected to the server and you can reconnect and continue from where you left off. Also as the session is tied to the user through login and password, you can avoid someone accessing another person's session.
I have not tested this on terminal services environment, but as RDC uses terminal services, I would assume this would work. Maybe setting up a terminal services environment would be the cheapest and quickest solution. You should look at Windows 2008, where the end user can access an application through Remote Desktop Connection, and it is so seamless, it looks like just another application on the user's PC.
