Thinking back - a vague bell rings. I don't think it's directly related but the resolution was a combination of TWO settings:
1. NOTIFY in the PHANTOM's parent 2. Breaking up a LONG sleep to more manageable smaller chunks in a loop. Have you tried varying the NOTIFY setting in the process that launched the PHANTOM?
