I was an early adopter of UV on Red Hat, UV 9 and RH3 while I.T.
manager at a major wholesale distributor in the western US. We had
over 250 users, 19 locations, and 6 corporate entities using our
systems. We found that UV on RedHat was very stable, reliable and
fast. Since then, I have assisted other wholesale distributors to
migrate to UV on RedHat with the same results. Linux offers many
benefits to connect your UniVerse system to other systems and data
bases while keeping the cost of ownership and maintenance low. We ran
our UniVerse / RedHat system for well over a year without needing to
reboot it. After all the fiddling and restarts that previous
installations of PICK required, UV on Red Hat was a great success.
I highly recommend running UV on Red Hat.

Hey all,
Does anyone have any experience running universe on red hat in an
enterprise environment? I have run UV PE on centos and red hat just
fine BUT I am talking about 400+ users, uniobjects, tons of printers,
etc ......
