Not exactly what you're asking for, but you may get some help from the TO DELIM UniQuery keywords to create flat, delimited files that can be read in by your program or by Excel and other applications. I use it all the time and it works great. It's one of those features that's been out there almost forever ,but most folks aren't quite aware of its usefulness. Make sure you read up on UDT.OPTIONS 91 before playing around with it.
