Sorry I forgot to mention - you should only need to edit the header when the files need to be fnuxi'd (in our case, the source db is AIX and target is Linux). The "end" changes and you can't fnuxi a file with triggers on them. Otherwise, if you don't have to fnuxi between source & target, it should just be a simple copy and restore without dropping the triggers.

It's fiddly but possible. We do it this way when using a snap copy of the production database.
