Hi, We use JDBC to talk to a Microsofot SQL server database, and have used it to talk to Sybase in the past.
You need the JDBC driver for the database that you are talking to (we use jTDS for the SQL Server database). Then you will need some java code to read/write to the SQL database and some java code to read/write to the Unidata database. It's been a good few years since I wrote that, but I can't remember any technical issues. It's ran ever since without problems. cheers, asvin "Lunt, Bruce" <[email protected]> Sent by: [email protected] Mar 19 2010 20:23 Mail Size: 5038 Please respond to U2 Users List <[email protected]> To [email protected] cc Subject [U2] Using JDBC on Unidata 7.1 on HPUX Entity Investment Banking Europe - IBEU We are in need of connecting to an outside service that uses JDBC. I see on the Rocket Software website that JDBC is available. I was wondering if any users out here have implemented a connection and are using it regularly. If so, can you help us with what we need to know to make it work well?
