Every year at the end of June, Eclipse updates their product. Most years we
have little problem changing our XLr8 Tools to accommodate these changes.
However, this year was an exception. Helios, version 3.6 for those of you
who need number, would not stay running no matter what I did. Of course, my
Java programmer is using a iMac had no problem what so ever. Our web
middleware U2WebLink is coded in Java did not have any problems either.

Oracle, now owner of Java, changed the name of the product internally from
Sun to Oracle in version 1.6.0_21 and version 1.6.0_20. They can do that
since the own the product. However, they broke a lot of software that
relied on the name of the product. You will need to re-install Java to
version 1.6.0_21-b07. I had been running version 1.6.0_21-b06. Oh, the
best is the Java updater does not see the difference between those two
releases so you get no automatic update.

So those of you running any type of Java should be aware that you need to
update and check you release. The SDK release did not get a name change so
it did not break. If you have sometime and want to read an interesting
Bugzilla from Eclipse people try this URL:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=319514.
