Let's see:
+1 compliment
-1 completely unprovoked and incomprehensible backswipe
I guess I'm about even today. Thanks guys.

Here we go again... Seriously George, I've been doing this forum
thing for almost 20 years now, having created one of the very
first online forums for Pick at CompuServe. After I've produced
tens of thousands of forum postings, blogs, articles, wiki pages,
books, presentations, and freeware offerings, and after I've
served on many MV-related volunteer projects and as a board
member with more than one user group - can you really say with
conviction "all your namesake does is tout"? (Hmm, was that a
tout?) Is it really that offensive to you, even as a product
reseller yourself, that some of us can function harmoniously as
both contributing community members And as vendors within the
same community? Do you really need to inject your own beliefs of
intent (to solicit) into content where it didn't exist? And if I
do get a chance to pay my bills this month because someone
appreciates my technical prowess or even my good looks (hmm, was
that a tout?) does it really take that much from you all the way
across the ocean there?

This forum appears to be more sensitive than ANY that I have Ever
been in. Frankly I don't think the forum is sensitive. I do
think it's just a few people who seem to take offense on behalf
of hundreds. Please, get over it. Let's end this here. Your
eyes don't get burned out by an unmarked ad and you don't need to
read "ad" between the lines of every post that has a specific
author's name.

And to avoid disappointing anyone who actually likes touting, I
give you a new blog/article:

"MV to/from RDBMS - Not as tough as it sounds"
nospamNebula-rnd.com/blog/tech/mv/2011/04/mv-rdbms2.html

No, no ads, sorry, it's a complete free solution to a common
problem. No products to sell or even insidious freeware.
Unfortunately it's a completely DIY solution, though now that I
think about it I did offer assistance for someone who doesn't
want to do it themselves. To paraphrase the immortal words of
Charlton Hestin: Damn me all to hell for once again posting a
free solution when people fully expect me to be begging for money
.... without really doing so.

*SIGH*

T "as in Chuck's Twin" ;)
