Hi, We'd like to find a digital scale that works like a USB-based HID keyboard wedge style scanner that simply transmits the unit weight into the current field when a button is pushed. For this application we'll be weighing small parts under 10 to 15 lbs and also need metric output. From brief research, it looks like the majority are still using antiquated serial or TCP connections.
Is anyone using a USB-based one and if so, what brand/model and any caveats associated with the interface ? Prefix suffix issues, etc. Any third party software required? For serial/TCP I found this SW that may simplify the interface, but ideally, would like to see it work like our USB HID handheld scanners with no SW required. http://www.billproduction.com/billscalebalance/ Thanks! -Troy _____________________________________________________________________________ Scanned by IBM Email Security Management Services powered by MessageLabs.
