I thought that I responded earlier -- but cannot find the rest of the thread.
Ken, Generally, this would be caused by a secondary index that accesses the primary file via a subroutine. You can verify the file (in Unix) by using ls -i |grep 610205 or find . -ls |grep 610205 Group WR locks are exclusive, so any attempt to access either the same record being updated in the primary file, or another record in the same group will fail when the group lock is encountered. Good luck, Rick Nuckolls Lynden Inc. ________________________________________ From: [email protected] [[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ken Ford [[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, February 02, 2014 6:25 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: [U2] Self Deadlatch error on device 655372, inode 610205, group 11460608, latch 80000 to WRITE. We are getting the error in the subject line in a 3rdParty program (no sourcecode). We have recreated the file, resized the file and rebuilt its secondary indices, and still get the error. There is a group lock when it occurs. A search of the archives has not produced anything useful. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
