PROGRAMMER ANALYST/DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (601-001W) Responsibilities: Zetron, Inc., a recognized industry leader in providing mission-critical communication applications has an immediate opportunity available for a Programmer Analyst/Database Administrator responsible for operations of systems and databases and maintenance and enhancement of programs. This position is a combination of duties including CRM programmer analyst, Business Analyst, SQL Server Database Administrator, VB and T-SQL Programmer (advanced), and Production Support. - Analyze and correct problems to ensure business continuity to provide high system uptimes. - Maintain an accurate log of system requests to allow for effective communication with end users. - Develop and program cost-effective and timely applications and enhancements to add value to our business. - Write documentation for all changes, enhancements and procedures and ensure code revision control. - Act as primary support for system users to provide support as per agreed service level agreements. - Work with other programmers to ensure reliable real time integration between corporate business systems. - Maintain reliability of databases by installing upgrades and configuring system parameters. - Work with users to determine requirement for system enhancements. - Provide secondary user support for other IT business systems. - Ensure reliability of database backups. - Provide excellent customer service in support of our business by keeping all users updated with system request status and completion dates. - Perform basic project management duties including identifying and following project task and activity schedules. Requirements: - Ability to define end-user requirements with customers. - Use of data modeling techniques, database design and administration---entity relationship design, database diagramming, advanced T-SQL and VB, building Triggers and Stored Procedures, Data Transformation (DTS), Indexing and Database Optimization Strategies, DB Configuration, Backup and Recovery, Performance Tuning, Application Integration. - Familiarity with eFrontOffice CRM system by Epicor (Clientele) from installation issues through configuration and development. - Desired Application Experience: Avante by Epicor (ERP/MRP Systems), MS Access, Web Development, .NET Framework - IT Project Management also desired. - Education: Business, math, and communication skills as acquired with a four-year degree. - Experience: Five years progressively responsible experience in a database administrative environment.
