Hello all, We are migrating from an IBM machine (F50) with an OS of AIX 4.3.3 and Universe 9.5(source machine) and to an IBM p610 (target machine).
We have been told that to restore the install_image (mksysb) from the old machine to the new machine we need to boot to the installation CD on the target machine and install drivers. After the drivers are installed , we can then restore using the mksysb tape. After the system restore completes , do we need to do anything to Universe because of the platform change ? For example , do we need to regenerate the Universe shell ? Do we need to re-license the product ? Any information or gotcha's about this would be helpful.
