Another problem is which side Hume would take if he could join this
discussion!  :-)  After all, wasn't it Hume who argued that Aquinas (I
think, therefore I am) was foolish to suppose that he could not rely on
his observations of the world or even his own mind?  Something tells me he
would relish feeding ideas to both positions, chuckling all the while...
