What is wrong with Bayesianism? Nothing that I've heard yet. The method
works and has been used for decades in a wide range of fields. I understand
the difficulty of establishing prior probabilities, but there are techniques
to help with this also--e.g., careful observation, maximum entropy method,
and group invariance arguments. The mechanism explicitly underscores the
importance of priors in probabilistic reasoning. I view the attempts to
provide them as part of the discipline.
