hi, Currently, I some research work on Intelligent Personal Information Management. As you know, Next generation will pay more attention on personal, adaptive. So, our group currently drive this project to merge intelligent in it. Project basic description; -- If you join in maillists or news group. You will find many and many message will in your mailbox. Many of them is garbage. But, most of letter only contain one or two sentence to convert their information. I wish our system can abstract most interest information from current topic to present to user. -- Many user who join mail list just wish interest on one or two topic. For example, if you join a kitchen topic, you many pay more attention to know how about chinese food or japanese food. it will not pay more attention other. Personal interest is important factor to help filer reorganization personal message. We will track it and reorganize it base on intelligent technique. --- network based information share also be important, different people in same group should share their interest and poll most potential good article. Problem: -----1. the first problem is how to detect user and track personal interest,how to orgnize it more effectivly. Some guy, such as MIT, use Genetic algorithm to implement. if there are other method to do it. -----2. How to implement user modaling is another interest point. Good user modaling can help our track user interest. IF any guy pay more interest on this point or have good idea about it.
