Call for Tutorial Proposals

Proposals should be submitted electronically to the Tutorials Chair.
Proposals may take the form of plain text, Postscript, PDF, Microsoft Word
or Microsoft Powerpoint.


PROPOSAL DETAILS


Tutorials should provide an introduction and/or a review of the
state-of-the-art of a topic that is of interest to attendants. These could
be on particular research topics. A tutorial must be broad enough to cover a
research area in which there is a significant publication activity in the AI
community.


Tutorial proposals should address the following issues:


Basic information:



  a.. Title


  b.. Brief description: 250 words max.


  c.. Names and contact information for each tutor.


  a.. Biographical information on each tutor: WWW address, if applicable


  b.. Audience: What is the intended audience for the tutorial? Topics.


  c.. Interest: Why is this topic important/interesting to the IBERAMIA
community?


  d.. Coverage: How deep/broad is the proposed tutorial?


  e.. Background: What background will be required of the audience?


Enough materials should be included in the proposal to provide a sense of
the scope and depth of the tutorial. On the other hand, the tutors should
not focus mainly on their own research results.


IMPORTANT DATES


May 19, 2002 --- Tutorial proposals due

June 20, 2002 --- Notification of proposal acceptance

October 27, 2002 --- Camera ready copy of tutorial notes

November 12, 2002 --- IBERAMIA 2002 tutorials held
