Here is the reference to a paper we have published
on Bayesian networks with discrete and continuous
variables simultaneously. The model is called a
mixture of truncated exponentials.

S. Moral, R. Rumi, A. Salmeron (2001) Mixtures of truncated exponentials
in hybrid Bayesian networks. Sixth European Conference on Symbolic and
Quantitative Approaches to Reasoning with Uncertainty. Lecture Notes in
Artificial Intelligence 2143, 156-167.
