Chance Discovery, AAAI-FSS02 to come to Sea Creat 
(Massachusetts) November 15-17 2002.

If you are new to chance discovery, let me show its short scope:
Chance events are rare or novel events with potentially 
significant consequences for decision-making, i.e., events to 
be conceived as a risk or an opportunity. This symposium will 
be devoted to questions: 
- - - How may we predict, identify or explain chance events and 
 their consequences? ("chance discovery") and 
- - - How may we assess, prepare for or manage them?
  ("chance management").

If you are working on relevant areas, e.g.,

please do not miss the deadlines of registration. All attendees 
must preregister. Please complete in full and submit to AAAI, by 
5 PM, Pacific time, September 20, 2002 (invited attendees) or 
5 PM, Pacific time, October 18, 2002 (general registration).
