Call for Proposals to Organize CP-2004

The International Conference on Principles and Practice of
Constraint Programming is the premier annual event of the rapidly
growing inter-disciplinary community of constraint programming.
Past meetings have been held in Ithaca, Paphos, Singapore, Alexandria
(VA),
Pisa, Linz, Cambridge (MA), and Cassis. The next meeting will be held
in Cork from Sept 29th Oct 3rd 2003. Meetings are usually held in
September
or October, and attract around 200 participants.

Proposals are solicited by August 18, 2003 to organize CP-2004. An
informal
and brief plain text email message should be sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
containing
relevant details. Proposals should address in brief as many of the
following
items as is possible at this time:

1. Location
2. Possible dates
3. Local organizers and brief description of previous
   experience organizing similar events
4. Conference facilities and hotels (with URLs if available)
5. Availability of student accommodation
6. Possible social events
7. Financial considerations (e.g. local sponsorship)
8. Travel information
9. Support of local and national organizations
10. Any other information that might be of relevance

The final decision will be made by the CP Organizing Committee,
which also selects the Program Committee Chair for each year.
Elections are soon to be held to select the new CP Organizing
Committee. It is hoped that deciding the site for CP-2004
will be one of the first acts of new Organizing Committee so that
the plans for CP-2004 can be announced before the end of the
CP-2003 conference.
