Chair and 4 Lectureships * Context The British University in Dubai is an important development in higher education, providing cutting-edge research and education in key areas of science and technology, and is supported in its early growth by the University of Edinburgh and by other front-ranked UK universities. Early research and teaching programmes will be developed in association with the University of Edinburgh's 5*-rated School of Informatics. Newly appointed staff will spend part of their first year working with colleagues in Edinburgh and be eligible for Honorary Fellowships in the University of Edinburgh. (This is intended to help cement the foundations for continuing collaborative research projects and exchanges.) * Posts The new Professor will be Director of the Institute, provide leadership in creating innovative research and teaching programmes and be involved in appointments to the lectureships.
