 AI'2004: The Seventeenth Canadian Conference on Artificial Intelligence

                               Call for Papers

AI'2004 The Seventeenth Canadian Conference on Artificial Intelligence will be held in 
conjunction with  the Graphics Interface GI'2004 and Computer and Robot Vision 
CRV'2004 (formerly known as Vision Interface VI'2004).  Conference participants who 
register for any one conference can attend all three conferences.

AI'2004 invites papers that present original work in all areas of Artificial 
Intelligence, either theoretical or applied, including, but not limited to:

        Automated Reasoning
        Search
        Constraint Satisfaction
        Natural Language
        Planning
        Machine Learning
        Neural Nets and Evolutional Computing
        Reasoning under Uncertainty
        Data Mining
        Robotics

        AI and Information Processing
        AI and Bioinformatics
        AI and Web Applications
        AI and Education

Papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee members and judged
according to their originality, technical merit and clarity of
presentation. Papers will be accepted according to two categories:
full papers or poster papers (with less number of pages allotted in
the proceedings). All accepted papers will be published in the
conference proceedings as Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence -
Springer-Verlag. A best paper will be awarded at the conference.
Submissions

Authors are invited to submit full papers in PDF, Postscript or
MS-Word RTF electronically* at the conference web site
(http://cs.uwindsor.ca/~ai04/). Papers of up to 15 pages in length
must be formatted according to Springer LNCS style.  Use of the
LaTeX2e style file available from
http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html is strongly encouraged.

Important dates

Abstract submission due: December 3rd, 2003
Full paper submission due: December 10th,2003
Notification of acceptance: February 10th, 2004
Final paper due: March 7th,2004

*Authors who have difficulty submitting abstracts through the web site
 may alternatively send a plain text message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 with subject header AI2004 Abstract, indicating the paper's title,
 authors, authors addresses, abstract, and topic areas, as well as the
 e-mail address of the contact author. Authors who have difficulty
 submitting the full paper through web site may submit the PDF,
 (compressed) POSTSCRIPT or WORD file to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with
 subject header AI2004 Submission xxx, where xxx is the password
 assigned during abstract submission.

**Final versions of papers accepted for full presentation will be 15
  pages and papers accepted for poster presentation will be 5
  pages. Up to two additional pages may be allotted at a page charge
  of CDN $ 50.
