TWO RESEARCH POSITIONS IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY The Centre for Information Technology Research (CITR) at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia, is seeking to appoint 2 research academics in the strategic research themes of the Centre.
The Centre for Information Technology Research (CITR) was formed in 2005 within the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies as the University's locus for research in computer science, software engineering and information systems. CITR carries out research in close collaboration with industry and research partners nationally and internationally, supported by a wide range of research grants, strategic partnership arrangements and industrial R&D projects. With some 70 research staff and postgraduate research students, and a substantial portfolio of aligned research activities CITR is emerging as one of the fastest growing and most concentrated IT research centres in Australia. The Centre undertakes fundamental and applied research across its constituent areas contributing to two major research themes of Reliable Software Systems and Service Oriented Computing. It embraces research in Complex Intelligent Systems, Component Software and Enterprise Systems, Information Systems, Intelligent Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, Software Testing, Web and Data Engineering, and Workflow Technology. The Centre has a major goal to enable synergy between its different research areas to strengthen its national and international profile. Applicants should have a strong track record of research and consultancy as evidenced by publications, research grants and other relevant outcomes. This must be related to Service-Oriented Computing and/or Reliable Software Systems, and has to demonstrate the potential to assist in integration of research across one or more areas.
