The Intelligent Systems Laboratory (ISL) in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY is seeking a post-doctorate associate with background and expertise in probabilistic graphical models including Bayesian Networks, Hidden Markov Models, or Markov Random Fields. We are especially interested in candidates with significant experience in theoretical developments of graphical models such as learning and inference. The candidate is expected to develop new theories in graphical models and apply the developed theories to different applications including computer vision. Strong and solid mathematical, statistical, and machine learning background and excellent programming skills are also essential and prior experience in computer vision is a plus.
