Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Machine Learning at the University Pittsburgh
We seek applications to fill a new postdoctoral researcher position in the area of statistical machine learning and probabilistic modeling for a recently funded NIH project. The selected applicant will join an interdisciplinary team in developing, implementing, and evaluating innovative machine-learning methods for analyzing data that are collected at the bedside and recorded in electronic health records. The team consists of researchers at the University of Pittsburgh from the Department of Computer Science, the Department of Critical Care, and the Department of Biomedical Informatics. The applicant should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field. The applicant should also have extensive experience in the development and application of machine learning methods in analysis and prediction that involve high-dimensional, time-series datasets. Exposure to and knowledge of outlier detection methods is a plus. The application should include a detailed CV, a research statement, and the names and contacts of three references.
