The Alberta Innovates Centre of Machine Learning [AICML; http:// www.aicml.ca/] is seeking one or more energetic, capable and responsible Post Doctoral Fellows, to work closely with Prof R Greiner (and colleagues in both medicine and computing science) on a wide range of medical informatics projects http://webdocs.cs.ualberta.ca/~greiner/index.php?section=PostDoc12. S/he will also have ample time to pursue his/her own scientific projects, within the research infrastructure of AICML, and the department of computing science. We anticipate this research will lead to publications in the medical, bioinformatics, and machine learning literatures.
The ideal candidate will have recently completed a PhD in the areas of machine learning, bioinformatics or related fields, and have demonstrated the ability to conduct both fundamental and applied research in these areas, resulting in high quality publications. This position is available immediately, for 2 years (with a possible extension of one more year). The salary is commensurate with experience; we are an equal opportunity employer.
