Key Dates:
Paper submission deadline: March 1st 2013, 11:59pm UTC
Author notification: May 6th, 2013
Conference: July 11-15th 2013

UAI (the Conference on Uncertainty in Artificial Intelligence) is the
premier international conference on research related to representation,
inference, learning and decision making in the presence of uncertainty. The
29th UAI conference (UAI 2013) will be held in Bellevue, Washington from
July 11 to 15th 2013. The main conference will occur on July 12th to 14th,
with tutorials on July 11th and workshops on July 15th. The conference will
be located close in time and location with the AAAI 2013 conference to be
held in Bellevue from July 14th through 18th.

We solicit submission of papers which describe novel theories, methodology,
and applications related to modeling, inference, learning, and
decision-making under uncertainty. Paper submission and reviewing will be
handled electronically. Authors should consult the conference Web site for
full details regarding paper preparation and submission guidelines,
auai.org/uai2013/cfp.shtml. We welcome submissions by authors who are new
to the UAI conference on new and emerging topics - examples of topics and
papers published at past conferences can be found at
http://uai.sis.pitt.edu/home.jsp?mmnu=0&smnu=0).

Submitted papers will be reviewed based on their novelty, technical
quality, potential impact, and clarity of writing. For papers that rely
heavily on empirical evaluations, the experimental methods and results
should be clear, well executed, and repeatable. Authors are strongly
encouraged to make data and code publicly available when possible.

All accepted papers will be presented at the Conference either as
contributed talks or as posters, and will be published in the Conference
Proceedings. Papers that are currently under review or have already been
accepted or published in a refereed venue, including conferences and
journals, may not be submitted. Authors of papers that win best paper
awards will be invited to submit their papers to the Journal of Artificial
Intelligence Research (JAIR) award-winning paper track,
http://jair.org/awardedpapers.html, with an expedited review process.
