We would like to invite you to contribute a paper to a special session at the 9th Asian Control Conference (ASCC 2013) which will be held on June 23-26, 2013 at Istanbul, Turkey. ****
The Special Session, namely “Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Systems: Theory, Design and Applications” has recently been accepted by the conference organizing committee.**** * * *Topics:* Topics including uncertainty modeling with higher order fuzzy sets, specifically type-2 fuzzy logic and system modeling are welcome. Type-2 fuzzy systems are proposed to deal with uncertainties appeared in both premise and consequence part of fuzzy systems. Recently, there have been many successful simulative and real-time studies reporting the superior performance of type-2 fuzzy systems over their type-1 counterparts. Beside the numerous numbers of studies, there are still some open issues in the field of type-2 fuzzy systems:**** **· **How to calculate the outputs of the type-2 fuzzy systems especially when the secondary membership functions are fuzzy values?**** **· **How to train type-2 fuzzy-neuro systems simpler, more accurate and considering the stability criteria? **** **· **How to justify the superior performance of type-2 fuzzy systems? Is there any mathematical evidence for that?**** **· **Last but not least, how to find a sufficiently exact level of uncertainty at which the type-2 fuzzy system is undoubtedly more preferable choice than its type-1 counterpart?**** * * *How?**:***** Special Session papers should be submitted directly to the paper submission system with the following session code: *7LzBXu*.
