SPHERE (Sensor Platform for HEalthcare in a Residential Environment) is a unique and highly-interdisciplinary collaboration in home healthcare technology (12 million GBP funding over 5 years from EPSRC) between Engineers, Computer Scientists, NHS Clinicians, Clinical Scientists, a local authority, a charity, two multinationals and three UK-leading research Universities.
We are looking for applicants with a willingness to work across disciplines, with the ambition to drive an internationally-leading project and with the vision to develop technologies that make a difference in people's lives. Successful applicants will have (or will shortly obtain) a PhD or equivalent experience in areas such as Machine Vision, Wireless Communications, Human Computer Interaction, Assisted Living Technology, Wearable Computing and Instrumentation, Data Mining or Energy Harvesting.
