Call for Participation --- Workshop on Spectral Learning [[Friday June 21, Room M103-4]] ICML 2013, Atlanta (GA), USA Website: http://sites.google.com/site/spectrallearningworkshop/
____ Overview ____ The focus of this workshop is on spectral learning algorithms, understood from a very broad and inclusive perspective. The goal is to explore relationships between spectral approaches to *clustering*, *dimensionality reduction*, *estimation of probabilistic models*, and *tensor decompositions*. We hope to attract experts in each of these areas, as well as a general audience interested on the exciting developments spectral learning has seen in recent years. ____ Invited Speakers ____ The workshop features invited talks by Raphaël Bailly, Mikhail Belkin, Emmanuel Candes, Dean P. Foster, and Le Song. A detailed schedule with titles and abstracts can be found here: https://sites.google.com/site/spectrallearningworkshop/schedule ____ Poster Session ____ There will be a Poster Session with 7 contributed workshop papers, as well as some papers on spectral learning from the main ICML conference. IMPORTANT: if you are presenting a paper on spectral learning at the main ICML conference and want to bring your poster to the workshop, please let us know at [email protected] before 3pm on Thursday. ____ Organizers ____ Byron Boots (University of Washington) Daniel Hsu (Microsoft Research New England) Ankur Parikh (Carnegie Mellon University) Borja Balle (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) _______________________________________________ uai mailing list [email protected] https://secure.engr.oregonstate.edu/mailman/listinfo/uai
