Postdoctoral position available in artificial intelligence/biomedical informatics
A postdoctoral research position is available in Samantha Kleinberg’s group in the Computer Science department at Stevens Institute of Technology. Our broad focus is analysis of time series data, with an emphasis on causal inference in complex, large-scale, observational data. For researchers interested in working with challenging real-world data, our collaborations with clinicians at Columbia University and other institutions allow for unique access to patient data along with the opportunity to have a tangible impact on patient care. The position is supported by an NIH R01 grant, recently funded under the NSF/NIH BIGDATA program, that aims to translate ICU data into actionable knowledge. More details on the project are available here: http://goo.gl/fOS4b Requirements: -PhD in computer science or a related field (e.g. statistics, bioinformatics, physics) -Strong publication record -Excellent communication skills Review of applications will begin on 7/18/2013 and will continue until the position is filled. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the potential of renewal for 1-2 additional years. Stevens Institute of Technology is a private university located in Hoboken, New Jersey.
