 The School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EEECS) 
wishes to make strategic appointments in Computer Science to undertake research 
in line with the School’s research strategy, to teach at undergraduate and 
postgraduate level, and to contribute to School administration/outreach 
activity.
 
We seek outstanding candidates in all areas of High Performance and Distributed 
Computing (HPDC), Knowledge and Data Engineering (KDE), and Speech, Image and 
Vision Systems (SIVS). We particularly encourage applications from researchers 
working in the following areas:

 •HPDC: high-performance memory, storage and networking systems; and 
high-performance infrastructures for large-scale data analytics.

 •KDE: data extraction and integration; data mining/machine learning; and 
autonomous systems.

 •SIVS: machine learning and video surveillance.

Salary scale: Lecturer: £33,230 - £48,729 per annum (including contribution 
points)
   Senior Lecturer/Reader: £47,314 - £59,896 per annum (including 
contribution points)
