The Department of Computer Science at Tulane University invites applications for two tenure-track positions, to begin in July 2014. The Tulane Computer Science department was re-established in July 2012, and thus provides a unique opportunity to build a program from the ground up. We currently have four faculty, each of whom is working on applying computer science to related areas of research. These areas include: structural computational biology, computational geometry, artificial intelligence and computational social choice, and the application of mathematics and logic to computer science. Moreover, the department is allied with the Institute for Human-Machine Cognition (IHMC), and there is an opportunity for joint appointments. Overall, our goal is to build a department populated by faculty and students who are working on core computer science research and its application to other areas of science, engineering and the social and health sciences.
More information about the positions and the department, as well as application instructions, can be found at: http://tulane.edu/sse/cs/faculty/positions.cfm Tulane University is an Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity / ADA Employer that is committed to increasing the diversity of its faculty. We therefore encourage applications from underrepresented groups.
