Position Summary:

Adobe's System Technology Lab is looking for researchers to define and execute 
next generation of big data analytics research for digital marketing 
applications and services. The System Technology Lab is part of the Imagination 
Lab within the Adobe Research - a team of world-class researchers in machine 
learning, data mining, econometrics, and social networking. Beyond Adobe's 
traditional strengths in media technologies, this team is focused on research 
opportunities in areas related to digital marketing and media optimization 
(e.g., Adobe's Digital Marketing Cloud). Adobe provides digital marketing 
solutions to its customers who represent the top web businesses and include 
banks, hotels, online retails, insurance and entertainment companies.

If you're interested in the problems related to finding information hidden in 
large data sets and to optimize the marketing decisions made based on the 
extracted information, then Adobe's research laboratory is your opportunity to 
make a huge impact on the academic community as well as our customers. We are 
particularly interested in candidates with expertise in machine learning, 
econometrics, data visualization, and human computer interaction (HCI). All the 
positions will be located in San Jose, California.


Requirements:

- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Econometrics, or 
related fields
- Strong publication record and proven engagement with the academic research 
community
- Experience with data mining tools/frameworks
- Work with product teams to identify and prototype next-generation digital 
marketing opportunities
- Superb analytical ability


Desirable Knowledge & Experience:

- Experience with large databases (over 100 Million records) - Petabytes of data
- Web Analytics and Digital Marketing experience (recommender systems, social 
media and social network analytics)
- Technical familiarity with: Python, C/C++, Java, Matlab, R, Hadoop, Hive, 
Mahout, MapReduce, etc.
