We seek talented and motivated post-docs and research scientists to develop computational methods for interacting in energy markets within the COLD group (http://ccc.inaoep.mx/~jemc/labagents). Our group conducts fundamental and applied research in machine learning and game theory, with applications in multiagent learning, decentralised coordination, human-agent interaction and electronic commerce. It is based at the CS department of INAOE (http://www.inaoep.mx/), a national institute located near the beautiful city of Puebla, Mexico.
Positions include research scientists and post-docs and their role in the group will be aimed at supporting a project on the topic of Decentralized generation of sustainable and renewable energy. Candidates will be responsible for conducting largely self-determined research on agent-mediated electronic commerce, trading-agent design and analysis and decentralised coordination. Candidates must possess a PhD in computer science, economics, statistics, or another closely related discipline. Experience in electricity markets and decentralised coordination is a plus. The positions are for one or two years, salary and benefits are competitive.
