*Designing with Uncertainty - * *Opportunities & Challenges workshop* *York, UK, 17-19th March 2014*
*http://www.panda.ac.uk/workshop/index.html <http://www.panda.ac.uk/workshop/index.html> * The Designing with Uncertainty - Opportunities & Challenges workshop will be held in the historic city of York. The workshop aims to highlight and discuss emerging trends and future directions in the field of device and circuit design, and will feature invited position papers from world-leading researchers and industrialists across the field, including: Peter Cheung, Imperial Collage Asen Asenov, University of Glasgow Rob Aitken, ARM Steve Trimberger, Xilinx Bashir Al-Hashimi, University of Southampton Georges Gielen, KU Leuven Sani Nassif, IBM Steve Johnson, University of York We are currently soliciting abstracts from members of the community who are interested in presenting at this workshop. Abstracts should be no longer than three A4 pages, and should focus upon the potential for future developments within the field of device and circuit design. By way of example, they may address one or more of the following areas: - Variability modelling, prediction, fabrication and solutions - Predicting future technologies - Performance Improvement through Reconfiguration - Designing with unreliable components - Fault-tolerant design and recovery through reconfiguration - Electronic design optimisation - Design for test, built-in self test - New and emerging devices (biological, carbon, etc) - Innovative design techniques (e.g. bio-inspired) We are considering a number of options for publishing extended versions of the best submissions in an invited issue of a journal, which will be published after the workshop has taken place. There is no attendance or registration fee for a limited number of places, for which authors of accepted submissions will get priority. We also have a number of student bursaries available, which will contribute towards the travel and accommodation costs of registered students. Deadline for submissions is *Monday 17th February 2014* and submissions should be emailed, as a pdf, to *[email protected] <[email protected]>*with *'Panda workshop submission'* in the Subject field of the email. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOU HAVE RECEIVED THIS E-MAIL BECAUSE YOU ARE SUBSCRIBED TO THE IEEE CEDA MAILING LIST.
