The University of Skövde, Sweden, is seeking excellent candidates at the level 
of full professorship within several areas including Informatics. Within 
Informatics, the university has a strong research background in Data Science, 
covering topics such as: decision theory, visual analytics, information fusion, 
human computer interaction, uncertainty modeling (e.g., Bayesian theory, 
imprecise probability, fuzzy sets), data privacy, big-data analytics, text 
mining/topic modeling, deep learning (recently started in conjunction with two 
major granted projects). Applications within this field include (not an 
exhaustive list): decision support, anomaly detection, business intelligence, 
bioinformatics, information retrieval, assisted living and operation of 
telecommunication networks. At 2015, the university launched Sweden's first 
Masters' program in Data Science.

The applicants should (i) possess a strong ability of building 
multidisciplinary research initiatives in at least two of  the areas: 
Informatics, Health, Engineering, Economics and Biosciences, (ii) conduct 
research at a high international level, as well as (iii) have experience in 
attracting funding from prestigious national and international funding sources, 
e.g., EU, NIAH, UAD and NSF.
